First nations mentor
First nations program 2023
Mrs Jewo is the First Nations Mentor at Fairvale Public School. She is allocated one day a week to work with our First Nations Students, Families and Community.
Her time is spent working one on one with students, working with staff and families to produce Personalised Learning Plans (PLP's) and teaching Dharug Language lessons, Aboriginal Art and Aboriginal Culture and History.
Mrs Jewo is a member of the Fairfield Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (FLAECG) and attends Aboriginal Education Conferences for our Local Area.
Through this, she is able to consult with other schools and leaders of the FLAECG such as President, Vice President, Security, outside agencies and Local Aboriginal Edlers.
Mrs Jewo is currently using the Wingaru Kids website to provide quality and meaningful Dharug Culture and Language Lessons for our First Nations Students.
You can find information about FLAEGG here.
