We create opportunities for students to explore innovative thinking and artistic expression, inspiring originality and strengthening problem-solving skills through a rich range of creative experiences.
Piano - Dante
Dante has always had a passion for playing the piano. His family contacted the school to discuss his high potential in music to see how the school could assist in further developing his talent. Our music teacher has catered to Dante’s interests by providing him solo opportunities to perform during our concerts and assemblies and liaises with his music teacher, thereby working collaboratively with external consultants to achieve the best outcome for Dante.
Choir
The school choir provides students with opportunities to refine their vocal technique, build confidence, and showcase their talents during school and community performances.
Art Club
Students who have been identified as having potential in visual arts are selected to participate in Art Club. Students develop and apply their skills using a variety of mediums and are given opportunities to enter external competitions. In 2025, two of our Year 6 students were selected as finalists in the Nagoya Sister City Art Exchange, allowing their artwork to be displayed on a global stage. In 2026, Fairvale Public School will collaborate with a local artist to develop a school mural.
Junior and Senior Dance Groups
The Junior and Senior Dance groups dedicate time each week to developing their skills during scheduled break-time rehearsals and showcase their talents at a range of school events, including the bi-annual Fairvale Festival.
Cultural Dance Groups
Cultural identity is vital and celebrated at Fairvale Public School. Students learn and perform cultural dances from various countries, including Vietnam, the Middle East and the Pacific Islands. They have opportunities to share these with the wider community during end-of-year assemblies
Drama
In 2025, Fairvale Public School was successfully selected to participate in the Department of Education Arts Unit Combined Schools Musical. Students had the opportunity to develop their drama skills while collaborating with other primary and high schools. Our students participated in a high-quality stage production of Shrek. In 2026, students will take part in the Mary Poppins production.
